Whippoorwill Fly Fishing

As senior guide of Whippoorwill Fly Fishing, my goal is to create a happy memory, whether that be floating a river in my handmade wooden McKenzie boat, wading the wilderness rivers of the Pigeon River Country, or simply watching bobbers go down on Walloon Lake.  With over 25 years guiding experience among Streamside Orvis in Traverse City, Whippoorwill Orvis in Petoskey and Boyne Outfitters in Boyne Falls, I know how to teach fly fishing and what makes for a positive day on the water.  After 30 years teaching elementary and middle school students at Gaylord Community Schools, you can count on me for light-hearted, patient, clear communication.  My favorite part of guiding is hearing your stories and having meaningful conversations in a beautiful, outdoor setting.
